Sat Aug 5, 9am to 1 pm, The Ol’ Dunsmuir Outdoor Faire

Rick-Garrett-photo-by-Suzanne-Scull(1) Pops Performing Arts & Cultural Center is pleased to host The Ol’ Dunsmuir Faire on Saturday, August 5, 9 am to 1 pm. Come down to one of Dunsmuir’s many fine restaurants, then do a little shopping and listening.
The musical line up is as follows:
10 to 11 am Marc Wright, Vocals and Guitar – Jazz, and Folk
11 am to 1 pm Rick Garrett Latin Fingerstyle Guitar
Dancer and performer Marc Wright will sing folk and jazz, and play jazz guitar from 10 to 11 pm.  Marc Wright most recently was a part of the the choir at College of the Siskiyous jazz ensemble as tenor. He often participates in local musical productions as a dancer and vocalist. (He is sought after in Siskiyou County’s dance world as he his one of the few male ballet dancers in town.)
Local fingerstyle guitarist Rick Garrett will play from 11 am to 1 pm. Rick is a tremendously versatile, accomplished guitarist who plays jazz, classical and Spanish pieces.  We are  lucky to have him.

 

Local favorite and bike extraordinaire Travis Bowman will be offering bicycle repair and  tune ups.

Local artist Wanda Wellborn is excited her to offer her own art in the form of photos, coloring books and printed photos. In 2014, she submitted a piece of her art at the Siskiyou County fair that took best of show.  From that one piece many pieces followed including three coloring books and photos of flowers around Mt. Shasta, California.


Mountain Oasis Treasures will be selling honey, microgreens, 100% pure beeswax candles, unique finds for the home, antique cast iron wares, vintage clothing, repurposed and reused treasures, Victorian kerosene stove, and genuine treasure chest.

The Spice of Life – Magical Apothecary will bring magical botanicals with a spiral mystic flair such as skin salves and aromatherapy sprays all made with the finest of organic ingredients.  In addition, handmade art, journals, and collectibles to inspire creativity will be available.
